i realised, the title of my entry is one of the most flattering yet confusing comment which is frequently told to me. LOL.

today i went to school in a dress! is it that weird? i did that last week too you know.. and a few months back when i had functions.. its not very uncommon really.

terence say i look demure, until i start talking. LOL.

cheng hong say i look pretty!! until i open my mouth.

leon and dalong couldnt even recognise me. ROFLMAO. i was washing my finger lickin' good KFC fingers at the toilet and this guy talks to me through the mirror, "hello, what is your name?" and totally not recognising the long haired leona [srsly, he looked like a girl!] i just looked at him with a weird look.. until i saw him face to face did i realise he was leon. "are you melswee?" and nicholas was like "OMG MELSWEE! REALLY YOU AH?!"

i really talk until so ah sum meh! rawr! i did try and do a very high pitched girly voice. terence and charlton got so weirded out by it. LOLOL.

okay lah. no special reason why im dressing up, i just got that dress last week. =) pretty aye? and i have a date with the female japanese pig i call my love.

seriously, kenny calls ts a swine cos of the amount she eats. i really dunno where to classify hiro!!! not that he eats a lot. i am capable of eating more than him, but i eat a lot very seldom, and he eats little very often.

joke of the day is cheng hong the japanese skunk. "so you think you wear uniqlo you can say that lah!" -jassy LOL. "so you think you from skunk cult very cool lah!" also jassy. lolol.

hiro alr sleeping leh! okay. he's no pig. he my bear =) [those that hibernate] thats why he's so furry and huggable! *jumps*

went with jassy to dhoby. decided not to move too much cos of her ankle.. so we did slow walk and did surveys. lol. then her cuz called and she left and i went to meet my bull/ox/bear/pig/jap/baby. since there werent any movies left, and we're not a couple with similar interests, we went to eat jap food. =)

i reserved, and nagged the waiter and waitress DIEDIE MUST RESERVE ONE TEMPURA ICECREAM FOR ME!!! which i didnt finish =x

then we walked around. and i swear hiro knows me so well k. "you only look at cheap stuff, if not it's books." when i decided to go times bookshop. lol.

then we looked through books which suggests the smitten 24 year old ox [hiro] will be smitten by the 19 year old horse -lillian too. =D whee! well cause last night we were talking about the zodiacs =)

then checked out the hokkaido fair by carrefour. saw hello kitty sweets! but resisted. dunwan grow fat like hello kitty. at least shes cute and has no pimples, and her non existant mouth makes her look so much better. haha.

went to sanrio shop!!! heres the hilight of my day!! sorta =)

we saw the hello kitty gachapon.. and it was this face towels. haha. then hiro say he feeling lucky today.. ask me which one i want.

obviously i chose the one with the plane.

anyways, all this talk about pets and all.. makes me damn tempted to get a hamster myself. and i have logical explaination to it.

im gonna study banking and finance in uni, im gonna be a banker or something. im hoping to be a personal banker [like the one i have now.. she's cute, she's loaded and she gets free food!]. i cant be seen wearing those pretty dresses i always see her in, with her mani pedi [even during recession], with her chanel bag, chanel necklace, coach wallet and new phone. she is what lzx in 'corner with love' would call a 金光闪闪大小姐. so anways, no personal relationship manager should have something as crude and unfavoured in the working world such as a tattoo.

my solution? instead of a long term liability [proof i have been studying waaayy too much], i shall just have a short-medium term liability. i mean, a hamster's life is about.. 3 years right? i mean.. under my care, i doubt it can go past that.. besides, im leaving the country in say.. may to june 2010.. so thats like less than a year's time.

by then i would give the hamster to chenghong to ill treat and let it mate with pancake and donut [tsui san's skinny and fatbigballed hamster.]

omg.. so tempted!! should i get should i get should i get?!?!?!?

today, all the emoing from MSTs, the many careless mistakes and the many confusions and studying, i took it all out on NETS today at bugis street. who knew many many cheap stuff could end up in a big hole in your bank account?

so, i spent $118.40 in the little bugis street. on 7 pairs of earrings, among other accessories, vest, dress, sunnies and 2 sandals.

im tired. im watching gilmore girls. im hungry.

i wanna eat wanton mee and beef fries. =(

memories of flying flooded back. good memories, they are. =) i've missed my times in SYFC, but it was still the best out of the world experience that not many have the opportunity to try out. memories of yankee, "seletar tower, skylark 85" "skylark 85, go ahead". though i cant say i have a lot of knowledge about flying, or memories of flying, it has no doubt enlightened and thought me many lessons in life. furthermore, it gave me the best friendship, with different types of people, from different backgrounds, all with the one interest, no matter the magnitude, of flying.

today i went to a place i've been meaning to visit for the longest time. a place i miss so much, which brings back so many flashbacks, happy ones. today i went back to Seletar, but instead of Singapore Youth Flying Club, i went to Singapore Flying Club. it is across the street, not any street, but the runway. it was breathtaking, looking at the private jets take off, looking at cessnas and pipers, looking at the sunset. truly an indelible experience.

went to the restaurant, Sunset Grill and Pub. NO WHERE IN THE ENTIRE BUILDING DOES IT SAY ITS SUNSET GRILL AND PUB -.-'' except this A4 paper on the front door, which cant be seen from the car.. its not even facing the road. -.- so i thought we were at the wrong place, i got down to ask for directions. the lady said "you're at sunset grill and pub. you've made it! congratulations!"

so anyways, after our CF paper we went to watch transformers and saw the SR71 which is sex with wings. lol. i gasped in the quiet theatre and whispered "SR71!" really loudly at jassy. lol. then we went to orchard central to scare kenny. lol.

so anyways. our CF paper had a company, Pratt and Whitney. then i went home and i was researching on SR71, then i found out they used Pratt and Whitney engines. so cool right ^^

okay. some pig. is bugging me right now. today i had a conflict with entong and jeraine. okay, not really. they are very korean-siao and i was telling them "arigatou" for their notes. cos they wrote korean words at the bottom on their tutorial. so lloyd was going on about war between korea and japan.

anyways. today's on the way home time was super funny. lloyd and i were the charcoal twins cos we both wore black. i called jassy and chenghong bananas and bees cos they wore yellow. but i said cheng hong is a bumbleDOT. cos of his white patch. then we were going on about how he was a manufacturing fault. heh heh. then kenny and i were "acting" as ts and ch, having an arguement whether to eat at redhill or tampines. HAHA. xD

CRAA was interesting, talking about Japan more than banks -.- yep. had to buy food for Mr Tan, then i called to ask what drink he want, end up buying for kenny and jassy as well. LOL. hold up 2 big bags of food [and none were mine, thanks huihui for carrying my chicken rice up for me!].

today's GEMs, my lecturer started out her lesson with a question. a topic. Tests.

cutting a long story short, tests come in different forms, evoke different feelings and has been here since the beginning of [cant rmb which] empire as we know it.

i just concluded her topic though. i know, slow, but it didnt dawn to me until just.

what matters are the results.

yes true some may argue, results may not mean anything, learn from your mistakes. but isnt learning from your mistakes there to make sure you will get a better result in future? results do matter. some could give me this quote i used to believe in,

"It's not the destination, but the journey."

but really, isnt this journey for you to learn, hoping next time you will reach a better destination, or the same destination in a shorter period of time?

so yes, i daresay i oppose the wise sayings of [who knows?], sure the journey is important for future results, so thus i conclude, in the end, all that matters are the results.

proof? who honestly knows who the hell Warren De la Rue is without first googling him? well, fact is, i didnt know who he was either until just 2 seconds ago doing some research for this entry. according to this site, he made the first know attempt to make an incandescent lightbulb in 1820. he did succeed, but it was way too costly for commercial use. in other words, he failed. [i agree he did succeed in making lightbulbs, but in the end still a fail cos he couldnt make money out of it right? thats why no one knows his name.] so in the end, we still associate light bulbs to be invented by Thomas Edison in 1879.

want another? lets touch on my personal favourite, planes. ask anyone who knows generally well about planes, who invented the plane and in what year? since young my answer would have been Wright Brothers, 1903. in fact, thats the answer plastered over SYFC's gallery wall. however, did you know, Leonardo DaVinci already had a design for vertical flights in 1493? this proves ideas dont count, if it doesnt give the desired results. yes, he was famous, but not for flying [not until much later when people discovered this picture]. he was famous for paintings, cause his paintings gave a desirable result to people. and in 1847, according to this site, William Samuel Henson did try his luck at making a plane with fixed wings, propellors etc [ref to site], but however, was unsuccessful. therefore no one remembers Henson. even the cartoons i watched only featured the Wrights.

and again, results matter.

so i thought of a little conclusion on my way home to this conclusion [results] about tests;

if you think about it, it doesnt mean a thing.
if you talk about it, it is just as insignificant.
if you try and you fail, it will only mean so much.
it is when you execute it successfully, then will it be significant.

explaination? ideas arent important, neither is just talking, until you actually do something about it. and if you fail, try again. cause what people want is not to see a failure, but to see a person who succeeds in the end.

yea its something like "actions speak louder than words" something i've come to see clearer in my past 2 years. but instead, i emphasize on the need to succeed, or else it is equally as worthless.

application? well. research on the word "patent". long story short, if you've thought of this idea, you cant patent your idea. its worthless. only if you had made your idea possible, it is something that you can patent. therefore idea < results. or, have you ever seen someone disappointed in your actions before? but you werent quite sure what you've done wrong? maybe its ignorance on your part, or maybe you just did not perform a specific task, and therefore the other party is upset for your lack of promising results. its not about the secrets you share or the sweet nothings you say, or the little gifts you give, if what the other party expected as a result were the execution of the promises you've made.

there you go. another entry of me doing pointless research just to make myself happy.

no, dont worry, its not gonna be those longlong analytical stories about how a person should be sweet or what. haha. just that my day has been revolving about sweetness of a person.

today i was out with my mom and brother. then we had sweetalk after a bit of shopping. then i recalled, not so long ago, i heard a guy telling a girl, "you're as sweet as sweetalk." hahahah! i dunno, sweet or sad, but i think it was sweet anyhow. dont go thinking that im deprived of sweet words, but when was the last time a guy actually made a complimentry simile?

anyways, today i got a dress. a pink dress! hehe! how often you see me wearing a pink anything? haha! then some woman was like "see she's so fair, she looks so sweet in it.". AHHH!!!!!!!!!! GOT PEOPLE CALL ME FAIR!!!!!!! IM ON CLOUD 11!!!! <3333333!! hahahahaha!!! so happpppppyy!!! hahahahahha. but i totally spoiled the moment ROFLMAO. i turned at said, "it's not look sweet, is naturally sweet." and as another pointed out, if the person in question was present, would you have dared voiced out half the things you did? no.

hyprocrisy aside, ever heard of "rubbing salt into the wound"? you are aware of someone who is upset, and you do not know the reason why, though it might or might not be related to what you are saying, at least spare some thought for her? how much this person has to go through alone? how much emotions this person is facing now?

yesterday was a funny sad day. okay, in proper terms, a day of bittersweet memories =)

using my laptop to blog cos thats the only way i can promise myself that i will be doing my BD later.. if not i will surely digress to other forms of entertainment or something. heh. but using my laptop also means no pics haha.

yesterday was fun =) especially after CF, that was mad funny! okay.. maybe not.. but im gonna say it was.. the thought of ts squatting was priceless, and terence's interest in the female toilet. hahaha. and my problem with tissue paper. -.-

went to marina for dinner and movie =) had subway with my mad painful toothache =( pizza flavour! rather interesting name, nice taste =)

watched public enemy. it was a nice show.. with the swoons from jassy and i whenever johnny depp had that serious oh-so-sexy face. terence's gasps at the blood scenes.. jassy tsuisan and i kept talking. LOL. and i made them both -.- me when it was the forest scene and christian bale was out to kill johnny depp *cries* then i had a fabulous thought!

then i came out of the theatre freezing ice cold.. and i touched tsui san and said "hello, im edward cullen." heh. as the night progressed i became alice cullen, cos i really like her character. and shes cute! =D

went home as the lightbulb as usual. haha. CAT i love you both lah! i just say it for fun. =) you both light up my hour long ride home =D <3s!

listening to the twilight soundtrack now.. so soothing, so smooth. the kind of music i truly like =) and robert pattinson's singing is surprisingly not cliche of those people around this age group [like leighton meester, but i like her Good Girls Go Bad still!]. but the rest of the OST is astoundingly just as good =)

okay. im off to do BD. and im rather emo im not losing weight when im hardly able to eat anything =(

on top of that i have to crap more about life for my ESS [gems] module. last week i was asked to give an arguement or something which i could give my point of view about. so i talked about my recent post about tests. and i must say i did a pretty fine job, stumbling only over the dates of the facts, but pretty much got my message across. so sue me for my lack of originality, but hey it was my own work and research after all =)))

but! next week is my ESS 70% test and i have no idea what to talk about! time to start crapping melswee!! =D
