I never thought I would be able to have a website. I thought it was only by those people with companies or big shots who had websites. I never knew about companies who did hosting of websites or anything of that sort. That was in 2000. All I did on the computer was MS PowerPoint, MS Word, MS Paint and some games. Then I started to play Neopets. I saw how other accounts had better decorations in their personal profile and shops than the default. So I asked my brother and I saw him view the sources of these pages so, over time I played around with HTML coding and learnt a fair bit about HTML by myself. Then in Primary 5, I had a best friend Francesca and she got me hooked on making pixel dolls. We both wanted to display these dolls so we used Tripod as our host. Soon, Francesca found another hoster, Brinkster, and we both applied our HTML skills and make a site where we could blog and display our dolls (Fran also showed off her vector art). And this was all before Blogger made it big in Asia (I'm not sure about the rest of the world). Brinkster then closed down all its free memberships and we moved on to other hosters. Francesca used her mom's company's site for a while, then finally bought her own domain, my-soliloquy.org, but closed it as it FTP was too tedious for her. [HAHA!] She is now using LiveJournal. As for me, I doubt I could ever convince my parents to spend on a site for me so I used Diaryland for a while, then Diary-x then I decided to move over to Blogger. I never knew Blogger was actually that good and I stayed on it for quite a while. My first entry on Blogger was on 30th September 2005 and since 31st March 2007 (first by Zopix then Searix on 30th October 2007) I have been hosted by Jie Wei. I met him during my chat days and he and another pro guy Li Sheng used to ask me to play around with Adobe Photoshop for them. [LOL] They did some GODLY coding and so here I am, blogging with ease on my own website! I personally prefer it here as it is something different (and I do LOVE being different) and I get to have as many pages as I like! So this is the end of my websites histories. I never really liked the subject History, but I am rather sentimental and just wanted to create this. So! THE END!
